About

The ride is made in the client’s car, with a maximum of 2 people per car. There are 6 cars in total.

 

The lesson duration is 3.5 hours – 1.5 hours of theory and 2 hours of practical exercises.

The practical part contains one hour on a specially designed hill on 333 offroad range with various angles and surfaces (sand, mud, gravel), sharp slopes and water obstacles.
The second part of practice contains exercises in the forest area adjacent to the 333 Sports Complex and enjoying a real off-road environment. The programme has been specially designed for the basic course.

The off-road driving school welcomes people who drive a 4×4 daily: SUVs, Jeeps and pick-ups, as well as cars with increased ground clearance. But most importantly, people who are interested in finding out what their 4×4 is capable of. A maximum of 2 people can share one car and try their hand as a team.

Training programme

Theoretical part (1.5h)
  • SUV characteristics.
  • Geometric parameters. Front and rear overhang angles. Ramp radius, wheelbase, ground clearance. Improvement of geometric parameters. Body and transmission lift (pros and cons).
  • Powertrain and transmission. Permanent and plug-in all-wheel drive. Distribution box challenges and technical solutions. Downshifting. Wheel hubs. Automatic and manual gearboxes.
  • Differential locking. Gearbox, axles. Solid and partial locking.
  • Suspension. Dependent and independent. Springs, torsion bars. Bridge articulation. Modification.
  • Wheels. Tyre and wheel sizes. Metal or aluminium rims – the right choice. Tube and tubeless tyres. Types of treads, applications. Tyre pressure.
  • Optional equipment. Winches – types and towing capacity. Ropes, shackles, slings, jacks, extra lights, blocks, etc.
  • Electronic systems. Adjustable suspension, electronic driving modes and safety systems.
  • Safety equipment. Towing, winching, jack use.
  • Terrain movement. Understanding car and environmentally friendly driving. Driving on country roads, sand, mud, ruts, ditches, steep slopes, side slopes, low meadows and marshes and crossing water obstacles.
Practical part (2h)
  • Correct use of additional equipment (jack, rope, carabiner).
  • The correct choice of speed and gear. Selection of the correct trajectory. Training of the car’s sense of gauge.
  • 4×4 Park obstacle course: driving on sand, mud and gravel, steep slopes and side slopes. 37° ramp and axle twist.
  • Pulling out a stuck car.

Good to know

  • Please note that you must follow the safety and track rules, as the track is not covered by third-party liability and third-party insurance.
  • When going to training, you should remember that the boot of your car must be empty or well-secured.
  • There are 6 cars in training at the same time, communication is via a walkie-talkie in your car.
  • ! If the car has technical problems during the event, no refund will be given.
  • It is important to remember that this is not a race. It is an opportunity to understand your car better and to improve your driving skills, but without the slightest competition with other participants.
Prices and registration

Cancellation and refund

If you wish to withdraw your participation, please notify us in writing by completing the withdrawal form (download HERE) and sending it to info@333.lv. You may withdraw one day (24 hours) before the event’s start (time of the selected block). The money will be refunded to the specified account within four working days, and participation in the event will be cancelled. Please note that cancellation requests will not be considered on the days of the event and after the event.
