CSDD Classes

Training in aspects of safe driving training is intended for drivers who have been given 8 and more road traffic violation points.

NORISE:  Sundays, from 10:00 – 16:00

BOOK IN ADVANCE by calling 29555333

A week before the lesson, information about the lesson will be sent to the training participant and along with an invoice for EUR 128, which must be paid no later the two days before the lesson.

The participant should arrive for the lesson in his own car (with 10–15 l in the tank) WITHOUT studded tyres. If necessary, for an additional charge, the 333 Sports Complex will provide a car, which must be booked at least three business days before the planned lesson.

Training Programme in Aspects of Safe Driving

The training programme conforms to Sub-Chapter 3.3 of Cabinet Regulation No. 551 of 21 June 2004 “Regulations Regarding the Application of the Driver Violation Point System” – the means provided for under the auspices of the drive violation points system for retraining drivers – training in aspects of safe driving.

Duration: up to 2 hours

  • Basic safe driving principles (20 min)
  • Assessing and anticipating situations and acting correctly
  • Anticipating and evaluating dangerous situation (20 min)
  • Analysis of various dangerous situations, recommendation and evaluation of specific situations
  • The influence on safety of the technical condition of a car (15 min)
  • The role of tyres, brakes, the steering wheel and shock absorbers in ensuring safety
  • Vehicle balance and weight distribution and their influence on driving a vehicle safely (20 min)
  • Maintaining and losing grip and a range of practical exercises
  • Basic economic driving principles (15 min)
  • Starting driving, correct gear and engine revolution selection

Duration up to 4 hours

The sequence of exercises may be changed depending on the number of participants.

  • The correct state for the driver in front of the wheel and its influence on control of the situation and execution of manoeuvres (10 min). Initial exercise, during which it is explained why and how important it is to sit behind the steering wheel of a car correctly.
  • Warm up exercises – execution of various figures (garage, slalom, braking area) with time control (15 min). Exercises during which the instructor assesses the driver’s current driving skills to see what aspects need more attention to training.
  • Braking exercises at various driving speeds. Use of braking types of braking (30 min). Exercises whose objective to train a rapid reaction in critical situations, as well as to feel the difference between various braking types and surfaces.
  • Vehicle wheel warm up and grip renewal (30 min)

Exercises on a slippery and changing surface which provokes the lateral slide of a car. In addition, situations are modelled in artificial (water) obstacles must be negotiated.

  • Safe trajectory formation and corresponding speed selection (35 min). An exercise to improve the driver’s skills at acting in unexpected and critical situations, driving downhill followed by selection of correct trajectory on a bend, using a slippery surface, and, in this case, the difference in the driving surface.
  • Vehicle “behaviour” and driving, performing various manoeuvres on a slippery surface (aquaplaning) (15 min). Exercises that highlight the difference between braking and the ability to manoeuvre a car on various surfaces with various degrees of grip at different driving speeds. During the exercises, situations are modelled in which it is difficult and problematic for inexperienced drivers to respond correctly and quickly.
  • Driving a vehicle when it goes into an uncontrollable lateral slide (35 min). Exercises on a slippery surface, where both front and rear wheel slides are induced, and situations are modelled in which the driver has to drive around artificial (water) obstacles.
  • Basic elements of economic driving (10 min). Practical exercises in which the challenge is to repeat and practice recommendations mentioned in theory on the principles of economic driving.
